We cannot stop natural disasters but we can arm ourselves with knowledge…

Petra Nemcova

You’ll never know when disasters will strike, so it is necessary to prepare our children and ourselves. To start off the school year, we had activities aimed to equip our pupils with the knowledge on what they will do in times of danger. Last week the children were introduced to earthquake drill. The teachers discussed to them what they will do in times of earthquake and why it is important for them to know these things. After several practices in the classroom, the first earthquake drill was a success! We were able to leave the building to safety in 2 minutes.

This is definitely going to be a busy month for our kids. Aside from the earthquake drill, we will also be celebrating the Linggo ng Wika. This will be the 1st official program of our children wherein they will be performing on stage for an audience. This year we want to introduce Filipino arts, songs, food and games to the pupils. The more they know about our culture, the more proud they will be as Filipinos.
